In past years, Mother’s Day felt like just another square on the calendar. But since becoming the only parent in my household, I've made it a point to carve out sacred space to simply rest and reflect.
I love my children deeply, but as an introverted woman navigating multiple responsibilities, I’ve learned the value of intentional stillness. My new tradition? Cozy clothes, a warm cup of matcha (unsweetened), nostalgic sitcoms, and moments of quiet prayer. My kids are always welcome to join, but they know — Mom is off duty today.
